Program Philosophy

The Associated Students of the University of Utah Child Care Center is committed to providing quality childcare options for student parents while they attend class.  The center maintains a friendly and supportive environment with staff that attend to the developmental well being of each child.  An atmosphere of trust that encourages a child's natural curiosity and desire to learn forms the basis of our curriculum.  We encourage parent involvement in all aspects of our program.

Because our schedule runs concurrent with each student's schedule, children will experience a higher number of interruptions than in a traditional program.  Children that make the most successful transition are comfortable with separation from parents and have had prior experiences in group play situations.
